Finance & Administration Manager

Manager | The Ingenium Group

• Responsible for all accounting and finance and administrative matters for our client in Japan.
• Work alone with no direct reports.

ACCOUNTS
• Ensure proper financial controls are in place and the accounts are in compliance to the statutory requirement.
• Responsible for timely submission of management reports (GAAP) to corporate office.
• Perform monthly financial closing activities to ensure proper revenue recognition and costs are being captured in the appropriate period, including performing monthly inter-companies confirmation.
• Review and report weekly Sales and Orders to the management.
• Deploy an effective Credit control to minimize credit risk by assessing and monitoring the credit limit granted to the customers. This includes monthly review of customers’ statements and preparation of aging analysis for the customers. At the same time, to tighten the credit control as and when necessary, and liaise with the respective controller for collections.
• Perform periodical analysis of balance sheets items and costs.
• Manage cash flow to ensure sufficient fund for monthly operations.
• Review Staff expense reports to ensure claims are of business related expenses.
• Prepare cash disbursement and authorize checks payment.
• Ensure compliance with key controls as set out under Sarbane Oxley

TAX
• Prepare and submit all local tax returns on a timely basis.
PERSONNEL
• Calculate and execute monthly payroll with high confidentiality.
• Ensure monthly contribution of employee and employer pension plan and health insurance.
• Compute and deduct appropriate taxes from the employees’ payroll.
• Review yearly general and employees insurance and liaise with the insurance agent for reasonable premium.
• All administrative matter for Japan personnel including recruitment and termination.
