EDA Application Engineer
Mid Level | The Ingenium Group
· Quickly and efficiently analyze electromechanical components such as motors, actuators, and sensors, as well as systems such as drives, controllers, inverters, and converters in order to assist our customers.
· Pre- and post-sales support of prospects/customers including evaluations, benchmarks, and direct interaction with users. The form of this interaction ranges from on-site visits to telephone and web support.
· All pre-sales and some post-sales activities will involve working closely with the responsible account sales manager. The successful candidate will be expected to work well in this team-oriented environment while also being proactive and showing initiative.
· On-site demonstrations, presentations, and training for company products.
· Write technical papers, newsletter articles, and application notes.
Job Requirements:
· Thorough understanding of electromechanical devices and a proficiency in electrical system design & simulation, with a specialty in one or more of the following applications: Automotive electromechanical/electrical systems, Actuators, Electric Machines, Sensors, Power Electronics
· Experience with electrical, electromechanical, and/or electromagnetic simulation tools.
· Three to five years of relevant experience is preferred.
· Computer literacy is required. (OS: Windows, Linux, Software: C++ experience)
· Excellent language skills, especially English, are required because the application engineer must communicate with engineers in US by E-mail and participate in telephone conference.
· Previous experience in a customer or sales support role is helpful but not required.
