IT - Project Lead/Developer

Manager | Talent Infusion

The role will include managing and owning the delivery of software solutions supporting our Operations teams in Tokyo, with a wider involvement in regional programmes of work looking to create more harmony and consistency across our regional clearing and settlement platforms.

The right person for this role will have a history of delivering technical leadership in a complex environment, designing and implementing complex solutions that incorporate software architecture and integration architecture methods.

Selling Points

Take a leading role, interacting with Operations and the Operations change function to determine requirements for new projects, design and implement the necessary solutions.

Report directly to the Japan head of Control and Operations IT and liaise closely with the regional C&O IT design authority

Opportunities to work on both local Tokyo based initiatives and more regional initiatives.

Certifications and Special Requirements

- Japanese capabilities to talk to local clearing house and vendor here in Japan.
- English capabilities to talk to team members / regional & global colleagues.
- Strong expertise in Java and or C# with capability in Visual basic, Perl, C++ and Shell scripts.
- Experience in supporting critical and time sensitive applications.
- Knowledge of Unix (Solaris, Linux,), RDBMS (Oracle and/or Sybase)
- Knowledge of networks, domains and protocols
- Experience of supporting client server based applications.
- Good time management and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal communication a must
- Minimum of 7 years experience working in a highly technical support environment.
- Self-driven, motivated, goal oriented and able to take full responsibility for actions
- Possibility of short-term travel in the future.
