Data Analyst / BI Consultant

Fusion Systems is recruiting a qualified Data Analyst / Business Intelligence (BI) Consultant to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be a part of the team responsible for the development and support of a Microsoft-based data analysis / business intelligence (BI) project.

This position requires the ability to understand business needs, be well versed with fundamental planning and reporting architectures, and have the ability to implement appropriate technology solutions.

The specific responsibilities and needed experience for this role include but are not limited to;
- Merchandising and sales planning system or data warehouse and reporting system experience including analysis of business requirements, designing and developing of programs and testing is needed.
- Retrieving data from multiple sources data stores (Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server) using SQL.
- Implement Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services 2005 (SSAS) for Online Analytical Processing (OLAP).
- Create, delete, and manipulate data cubes using MDX.
- Continue the development and provide ongoing support a dashboard-like Excel 2003 worksheet based on user requests using VBA.
- Provide reporting capabilities using Microsoft Access 2003.

Required Skills
- Strong communication and facilitation skills in English and Japanese (minimal).
- Technologies used include Microsoft SQL Server 2005, SSAS 2005, Excel 2003, Access 2003, SQL, MDX, and VBA
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
