Junior Risk Manager
Manager | Talent Infusion
Excellent analytical and communication skills combined with a mature and professional attitude are a pre-requisite. A degree of flexibility is necessary, as Risk Management techniques must adapt to changes within the business.
Responsibilities in co-operation with other team members will include:
- Support the Head of Japan Risk Management to implement and manage on going management of the Risk Assessment program.
- Investigate, resolve and document operating errors and working with the business to improve process and procedure.
- Review and provide risk input to New Product proposals.
- Prepare Risk Management reports for local senior management and the global risk department.
- Provide consultative Risk Management services to the business.
- Provide risk review and advice to significant project undertakings.
- With other team members develop the Risk Training sessions.
- Participate in Global & Group risk initiatives.
- Set up and monitor credit limits with counter parties
<Skills and Experience Desired>
- University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Technology, or a related field.
- Three to five years experience working in a financial services organization, ideally working for an investment management company.
- Experience in at least one area of the Investment Management Process including Operations, IT, Portfolio Management.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills and an ability to work with all levels of the organization.
- Proactive and have a consistency in approach and flexibility to engage in specific risk projects/reviews on a short term basis.
- Listen well others, be a team player and be a flexible to accept others’ views.
- Strong organization and coordination capabilities.
- Excellent analytical skills, including experience working with quantitative models, with the ability to identify problems and develop solutions. Ability to manage details while maintaining a strategic view. Ability to work effectively with ambiguity and change.
- Analytical, with keen business acumen and a self-starter with the ability to work independently.
