Data Entry Position

Executive Search Company seeks a part-time staff for data entry work.

The job entails PC-based transferring of data from excel spreadsheets and word documents to a packaged software database system.

There are two primary tasks:
1) Updating the database system
This is done by transferring information that is stored on other documents (mainly excel and word) to the new database. e.g.: Cutting and pasting the data into the proper field

2) Coding of files
Each individual file has a front page with identifier fields. These ‘codes’ are boxes/window that identify the entry by group, sector, function, contact and other attributes.

There are two methods for updating the codes: the first is cutting and pasting of data; the second is the use of pre-defined drop-down windows (by clicking on the correct selection).

This is project-based work ideally suited for an internship. Compensation is by the hour or on a project-basis payment schedule
will also be considered.
